Content / Overview 

There are 8 coursework assignments across this one-year course.  Some of these are theoretical, but most involve a practical media production in a variety of contexts.  These include producing a magazine cover, a print advertisement and a music video. The work is internally assessed.



Delivery Method 
Your experience will be varied and include learning practical skills, looking at case studies, working as a team and preparing presentations.

Assessment 
There are eight coursework assignments that are internally assessed.

Progression 
Media (Creative Media Production) Level 3 BTEC Diploma or a package of A Level subjects including Media.

Homework 
The nature of the BTEC course means that there is little formal setting of weekly homework. Instead, there is a longer timeframe in which to complete a collection of work. Students are expected to manage their own short term time-frames and complete all work to deadline.

Additional Information 
No specialist equipment is needed for this course as all materials, software and hardware are provided or available for student use. A course materials fee of £10 is charged to cover this. There are also occasional fees for course trips and study visits.  





All students aged 19 years or over on 1 September in the first year of their course are expected to pay tuition, registration, exam fees and all other course related costs. Some assistance with these costs may be available depending on your circumstances and the latest government funding position. There are normally no tuition, registration or examination fees to pay if you are aged 16-18 on 1 September in the first year of your course and are a British or European Union resident. This does not apply to HNCs/Ds, Foundation Degrees, Degrees or courses that do not attract government funding.
