The Curriculum
Our experience suggests that most students choosing an Advanced Level programme cope well in their first year with four AS Levels or equivalent. A small number of highly qualified students undertake five AS Levels. Most students progress to A2 or A2 equivalent in three subjects and take another AS subject to obtain breadth.
We also offer a range of BTEC National Certificate and Diploma courses. If you are not ready for an Advanced Level programme you can improve your qualifications by taking the Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) package in BTEC First Certificates designed to prepare you for progression to Advanced Level courses or employment. College policy is to enable all students to improve their skills in English, ICT and Mathematics and to gain appropriate qualifications.
