What to Study

Opportunities for study  Media Student

  • Wide range of subjects and courses
  • Mix A and AS Levels with BTEC vocational programmes
  • Progression from Intermediate to Advanced Level

Some courses may also require:

  • A reference from your school, including information about your attendance.
  • A skills assessment, relevant to the subject area, for example a practical test.
  • A literacy and numeracy assessment.

IF YOU EXPECT YOUR GCSEs / QUALIFICATIONS ON ENTRY TO BE… YOUR COURSE COULD BE…

AT LEVEL…

MOVE ON TO:
Nine or more GCSEs at grades A*- C with at least half at A or A* Four or five AS Levels followed by three or four A2 Levels 3 University degrees or training schemes
Six or more GCSEs at grades A*- C Three or four AS Levels followed by three or four A2 Levels; or Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma; or Level 3 BTEC Diploma plus two AS Levels followed by one or two A2 Levels 3 University degrees or training schemes
Five GCSEs at grades A*- C Three AS Levels followed by two or three A2 Levels; or Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma; or Level 3 BTEC Diploma plus one or two AS Levels followed by one or two A2 Levels 3 University degrees or training schemes
Four GCSEs at grades A*- C Level 3 BTEC Diploma; or Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma plus one or two GCSEs 3 University degrees or training schemes
A range of GCSEs (three or four) at grades D-E or equivalent Level 2 BTEC Diploma plus two GCSEs or Vocational Studies course 2
