Students Make Their Mark as Farnham College Goes Live

Wednesday 16 December 2009

Students have had their say in the creation of Farnham College’s brand new website launched ready for the New Year.

The new site incorporates facilities for building a personalised prospectus, a photo gallery and student case studies. Designed and built by the College Web services team in collaboration with its Marketing Department, the site’s development was strongly influenced by the College’s current students, who took part in the initial research and were consulted about the overall design and content. During the development process they took part in focus groups and in the testing before it went live.

Student involvement will continue to be a key factor in the ongoing development of the website as the College’s A Level Film and Media Studies students are set to add new content about the College’s facilities and events as well as student diaries. Features for parents will also be added.

Students Mark Shuttleworth, Emily Cabrol, Joe Carr-Archer and Megha Rai help launch the new website.

Fred Carter, Director of Farnham College, said: “The College continues to go from strength to strength, with 45% more students choosing to study here from 2006-2009, and very high success rates for A Levels and vocational courses. The new website looks set to build on this popularity as more and more students make Farnham College their first choice for their sixth form studies.”
