Ultimate Adventure
ARE YOU UP FOR A CHALLENGE?
ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME COULD BE FOR YOU! YOU’LL BE TREKKING, CAMPING OUT UNDER THE
STARS, HELPING OUT AT A SCHOOL, GOING ON SAFARI AND HELPING TO CONSERVE WILDLIFE.
Josh Caren was one of the students on this year’s trip, which went to Tanzania. He tells us more… After a long journey we arrived at Pugu Hills, had a camp talk and were warned to look out for spiders and scorpions! Went trekking in the hills. A dusty, packed bus took us to Savannah Camp where we surveyed butterflies during the day and hunted for frogs at night. Existing mainly on rice and beans and showering in river water gathered on a daily ‘water run’.
Spent a few days with the children at Mavimba Primary School, painting a wall, teaching them ‘Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ and playing British Bulldog - great fun! We then took a ferry to Mikumi National Park and went on safari - saw giraffe, water buffalo, zebras and elephants - couldn’t believe how close they were. Also saw crocodiles! Chilled out on the white sands and snorkelled in the clear blue seas of Sunrise Beach for a few days before flying home.
