About Support
Information and Admissions
The Information and Admissions Team can provide course information and advice, help you apply and advise you on materials and equipment you may need for your course. You’ll also be told more about this at your interview. Tel: 01252 71 69 88 or Email: farnham@guildford.ac.uk|
Careers
We constantly update the resources in our Careers Information Centre. Reference materials include directories, university prospectuses, computer software and audio-visual guides. You will also have access to expert guidance and support in thinking through university and employment choices.
Tutorials
Active and challenging group tutorials help you to improve your skills and plan your future. Individual sessions with your personal tutor are used to discuss your progress, set targets and record your achievements. We will focus on punctuality and attendance as well as completion of work.
Personal Support
Student Services provide a wide variety of information, guidance and advice to support you through your studies. Advice on travel, financial help and health matters is readily available. The College Counsellor offers an understanding, caring and non-judgemental atmosphere where you can talk confidentially.
Additional Learning Support
We are fully committed to widening participation and supporting students with learning difficulties and disabilities. Students with dyslexia, physical disabilities and sensory impairments have access to individual support and specialist help where needed. Wheelchairs have good access to key areas of the College. If you are a disabled person, please ensure that we know what you need so that we can make all reasonable adjustments to help you succeed.
