Your Route to College
Step 1: Choose your course
We offer a wide range of courses at all levels – take a look through our prospectus, come to an open event and meet the tutors or visit our courses area of the website for more course details, video clips and comments from existing students. If you’re still not sure, Tel: 01252 71 69 88 for independent advice on choosing a suitable course.
Step 2: Apply
We advise you to apply as soon as possible, as our courses fill up fast! Our deadline for application is Monday 24 April. Late applications may be considered subject to course availability.
See our How to Apply page.
Step 3: Attend your interview
We will invite you to an interview, which normally lasts 30 minutes and allows you to discuss your courses choices and plans for the future. We'll also tell you about any materials or equipment you need and the support we can offer. Don't forget to bring with you your qualification certificates (if you have them) and any other documents or portfolios of your work.
Step 4: Accept your place
If your interview is successful we will offer you a place within two weeks. If you don’t get your first choice we can advise you on suitable alternatives.
Step 5: Go to a taster event
You may be invited to attend a taster event in your subject area, where you’ll meet other students and tutors, and get a real taste for your course and college life.
Step 6: Receive your Enrolment Pack
You will be sent a joining pack in the summer holidays, containing important information, a date and time to enrol on your programme and what to bring to enrolment. Don't forget your £30 to be paid at enrolment to cover your resources.
Step 7: Get your results!
You’ll need to bring you exam results to your enrolment session. If your results are better than you expected or you haven't done as well as you’d hoped then don’t worry, we can help you find a more suitable course.
Step 8: Start College
During your first week there will be lots of activities to help you settle in and make new friends. Your programme starts with an induction, giving you the opportunity to find out more about your course and explore the College.
